It is our pleasure to announce that Ellen Sandridge has joined Lutheran Family Services of Virginia and the Virginia Lutheran Homes as Development Director. We are thrilled to have someone of Ellen’s capabilities oversee the development efforts of both our agencies. She is a lifelong Lutheran and native of the Shenandoah Valley who brings an extensive background in fundraising and social work to the position.
For the past five years, Ellen has been the Director of Development for the Richmond Hospital Hospitality House, coordinating all fundraising, marketing and special events. Previously she established a fundraising program for a residential hospice care facility in Williamsburg.
Ellen is a Certified Fundraising Executive who also has extensive experience in social work, having served as the Executive Director of the Williamsburg AIDS network and as a social worker for a number of agencies in Virginia and Colorado.
Ellen is the musical director of the Publick Times Chorus of Sweet Adeline’s International and a member of the St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Williamsburg.
Ellen will be based at the LFSVA office in Hampton. Please join us in welcoming her and celebrating this partnership between our two organizations.
